What never leaves your machine — the important part

Cheque data, payees, amounts and the ledger all live in a single database file on your computer, with an automatic daily backup to a folder on that same machine.

No cloud sync, no analytics, no tracking, no crash uploads. The error log is a local text file and is never sent.

What the software collects

The software collects no name, no phone number and no email from you. The only connection to our server sends a device identifier and a licence key. If you purchase through our authorised reseller or contact us for support, we keep the contact details you gave us in order to administer your licence — and together with the device identifier those are personal data, which we treat accordingly.

If you send us a support ticket from inside the software, we receive the text of your message.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of performance of a contract — administering your licence and providing support — not consent.

Who processes data alongside us

Paddle — our merchant of record, processes purchase data and retains financial transaction records for its tax and accounting obligations.

Cloudflare — hosts our licence verification server and its database.

Retention and deletion

We retain licence data for as long as the licence exists. You may request deletion of your data at any time via [email protected]. Because licence verification relies on that record, deleting it invalidates your licence and stops the software working on your machine, and cannot be undone.

Financial transaction records are retained by Paddle for its tax obligations; deleting our record does not affect those.
